The Laveycraft racing legacy is long and proud, dating back to the 1950's when flatbottom inboard ski boats manufactured by Al Lavey, in Pico Rivera, Califronia, dominated the circle race boat arena. (Al Lavey is pictured with Jeff and Chris as he looks over the 28' Evo model. He is so proud of the ongoing legacy and name of Laveycraft...)
To prove a point that our standard production boat could withstand the abuse and be competitive in the wild world of offshore racing, brothers Jeff and Chris introduced our "Team Breathless" race team in 1996. "Breathless" was a stock built 26' XCS and completed the season as the Western Divisional Champion.
Continuing in our race efforts, Laveycraft competed with a 2750 model, winning a World Championship award. Next entering the arena of offshore racing was our 28' Evo Super V Lite, which was a world class winner capturing several titles and awards.
You just never know what's being "tooled up"....stay tuned for more offshore and race fun - we'll see ya on the water!
